Oregon State fans have a thing or two to say about the Dirty Ducks

Aaaaaaaannnd... boom goes the dynamite..

I have perused and scanned the article, it seems as though Willie is like the informant that is being squeezed in a criminal investigation - he is coming clean in an attempt to clear his name, and avoid further penalties.
If what I am reading in the article is true, my prediction is Chip Kelley will be thrown under the bus on this one, and will be fired.  No doubt about it in my mind.  This has too many legs to go any other way, and this is an embarrassment to the university.  They circle the wagons, practice damage control, and throw Chip under the bus, claiming he acted autonomously, and no one else knew.
Now, the question is, how much of that story will the NCAA buy, and what sanctions, if any, are leveled.  I just don't see the UofO getting out of this one scott free, and Chip will be the sacrificial lamb.  As has been stated before, no proof is necessary for the NCAA, and now that Willie is talking, the house of cards falls.

I have a sneaking suspicion hole won't fire Kelly.. no matter what comes of this.  99% of other BCS schools would.. but I get the sense hole just won't.. they don't care, they're cutting edge.. they're different.. LOL.

Chip might even get a pay raise. aha

getting much closer to issuing blind folds, cigarettes, and one round a piece for the firing squad.  Any last requests my little feathered friend

My favorites: Chip personally authorized, transferring schools to avoid core class work "great idea", bill us top dollar, and best of all.........hey get us what you can, but make it like yesterday.

This sounds way too good to not be true.  It also sounds like Chippy is knowledgeable with the headset on, but lacks some experience in general terms of how the bigger picture works.

Ya, like making damn sure his name is not attached to it.... SEC coaches don't make this mistake...

Simply WINNING does not make one a great coach & leader of a program (see: Erickson).  There's way more that goes into it.  Chip Kelly seems chiefly concerned with winning.. by any means necessary.
One more reason I couldn't be happier to have a class act like Riley, who completely understands the dangers of recruiting in 2010.. and treads appropriately.

Tressel was burned at the stake because they found an email trail proving he engaged in a coverup by omission/failing to report the tattoos for memorabilia.. The sweatervest was done in by inaction and looking the other way, and the NCAA is still crawling all over Columbus.  Kelly has just been busted actively PARTICIPATING in the coverup by asking Lyles for "something, ANYTHING" to justify the payment to a street agent, and the handwritten thank you notes are the nail in the coffin.

They're TOAST.  Chip is done for, his head on a platter is going to be what Oregon has to offer up in an effort to avoid serious long-term penalties.

This is the worst case scenario that we talked about when it first broke:  What happens if Will Lyles rolls?  Who knew that he would have handwritten notes from Chip Kelly too?  It's all over.

Looks like Chip's no nonsense attitude might place him on the top of the list of hot coaches who blew a career...

This isn't a case about steering recruits or using street agents anymore.  It's a case about a coach knowing he had violation on his hands and covering it up instead of reporting it.  Oregon is going to cut its ties with Kelly just as fast as Kelly cut his with Lyles.

Today, this Husky fan stands arm in arm with my Beaver bretheran, as we look to the heavens and jointly declare "Bwaaaa Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha".....

Hip Hip Hooray this is fun as hell!  Gonna be a great 4th of July weekend... Go Beavers!

So how long until they pull Tony Dungy out of the closet to smooth things over and make this a teachable moment?

Wow, this is extremely damaging evidence.  It tells the story that I suspected but that did not appear to be provable:  that Oregon paid for influence, not just for scouting information.
And it shows that the Oregon football program, led by Chip Kelly,  scrambled to cover their tracks.
I've always been put off by Chip's abrasive, often defensive posture with the media.  Now I see it in a slightly different way:  arrogance and an intention to hide what's really going on.

man this is shaping up to be one hell of a memorable weekend

Lyles clearly did not provide the same access to other schools recruiting James and Seastrunk, so it was not a level playing field.  Even without taking into account the possibility of extra benefits to James and Seastrunk (which I'd say is probably better than 50/50), that alone would probably be sufficient grounds for the NCAA to declare them ineligible.  Get ready to vacate your "almost national championships" and "almost Heismans", duckies!!
